Charters and Scheduled Flights Keep the Supply Chain Operating

DATE: 05/08/20

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has disrupted supply chains worldwide. In some industries such as automotive, apparel and hospitality, production and delivery cycles are slowing or temporarily stopped as demand lessens, and safety precautions are followed. To keep supplies moving, all-cargo carriers remained operating, adjusting their schedules, and providing emergency charters.

In the face of supply chain disruptions, Miami-based Amerijet International Airlines is among the all-cargo air carriers responding to the great need for air cargo capacity and providing ad hoc charters worldwide. The airline started scheduled service flights between Miami and Brussels on April 4th to provide dedicated freighter capacity for medical supplies and other urgent shipments.  In addition, Amerijet continues to offer regular scheduled main deck service on its freighter fleet of B767-300/200 widebody aircraft to more than 38 destinations across the Caribbean, Latin America and Mexico from its hub at Miami International Airport.
